Third Conditional – Task Cards

Third Conditional

Is used to address an unreal or unlikable situation in the past.

Form of the Third Conditional

If + past perfect, would have + past participle. or

Would have + past participle +if + past perfect.

Examples of the Third Conditional:

  • If I had come earlier, I would have bought fresh bread.
  • They would have earned lots of money if they had worked for another company.

Why should you use the Third Conditional task cards?

These task cards are great addition to your classroom if you are a teacher and they are helpful for learners as well. They are a great tool that you can use for improving the form of the Third Conditional whether for the exam or during your English learning journey.
